Southampon summer sizzler
Southampton University Sailing Club are excited to welcome you to the Southampton Summer Sizzler 2024!
This event will be taking place on Saturday the 27th April at Spinnaker Sailing Club with two great socials on the Friday and Saturday nights. It is our brand new end of year bash (not of the boats I beg) aiming to give the entire society the chance to race. This is a big opportunity for the whole society to come together and enjoy a fun day of friendly racing with some external uni teams.
This is an event for ALL members of the club, from absolute beginners, open sailors, yachters, team racers, ex-team racers to alumni! You won't want to miss it! The event is open to everyone and is aimed at people who may have never competed in team racing to have a go, whilst still maintaining a well run event. Remember we have the annual Winter Warmer if you're looking for high-stakes competitive racing, but we'd love to have experienced team racers along to help the less experienced sailors.
It will involve an exciting day of round robin style team racing with an exciting final! There is also an opportunity to help out if you think that would be more your thing!
The NOR for the event can be found below. Entries for this event are limited to 20 teams and will be selected from applications.

Entries close on Sunday 7th April at 2300 so get them in soon! Successful entries will be announced from Tuesday 9th April with details of payment. The entry fee for this event is to be paid by 2359 on Wednesday 17th April - full details can be found in the NOR.
