Hello Yachters! Apologies for the lack of coms the past few weeks, I know lots of people are keen to find out how to use the Uni Yacht, but Catherine Hunt and I have been busy putting the pieces of the puzzle together to line up some really great Yachting this year!
Catherine will be doing a post soon on how to get an induction into the Uni Yacht so if that's the info you are waiting for then it is coming very soon!
After the success of our team at the Royal Southern Academy Trophy event the other weekend, we have decided to join the Royal Southern Yacht Club as affiliate members. What does this mean...? This means that we will be entering some J70 events between November and March. I will be selecting the team for these 3 2020 Winter events very soon, and here are the dates:
14th November 2020
28th November 2020
12th December 2020
The cost per person per event will be £40. This will cover Academy membership fee, entry fee and charter fee so is a very good deal!
If you would like to be involved in the J70 race team, then please drop me a message with a little reminder of what racing you have done, and what your weight and preferred position is. I expect this to be highly oversubscribed so please don't be disappointed if you aren't able to do it, there will be other opportunities.
